Nutcracker

Getting ready for Nutcracker dress rehearsal. Sparkle puts her own makeup on now.

Here she is backstage in the dressing room.

Sparkle with the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Sparkle with other homeschool dancers. One goes to the same dance studio and was also in the show. Two friends were visiting from out of town. The short kid is her sister Glitter, who is too young to be in our studio's Nutcracker.

Grandparents came to see the show.

 

Dentist

The girls were overdue for their dentist visits, but their teeth were fine anyway.

 

Science Museum

Sparkle got to dissect a rat.

We saw two special exhibits.

Wander and his parents joined us.

 

New Oven

Our oven went out about a month ago. Wander tried to fix it, but was unable to get the parts he needed. So we had to buy a new oven. It arrived today, in time for Thanksgiving.

Glitter and Sparkle were fascinated by the gaping hole left by the old oven.

The guy who installed it was the same guy who installed our dishwasher. Sparkle recognized him, even though it's been two years and she saw him for only a few minutes. Does that girl have an amazing memory or what?
