Glitter draws

Glitter does a lot of "drawing." She has her own box of colors and free access to paper. Glitter also has her own home journal and nature journal, so that she can be just like big sister.

Here is a typical Glitter drawing:

I got tired of seeing all the scribbles and decided to try teaching Glitter to draw a stick figure. Here is the result. She's pretty pleased.

I remember when Sparkle went through this "jelly fish" stage. She'd try to draw a stick figure, and end up giving it no body and 10+ arms and legs, so that it looked more like a jellyfish than a man.

I wonder how long it will take until Glitter picks a subject to draw, rather than try to draw something and then decide after the fact what it could possibly be. I don't think that it's a fine motor control issue - she does well with the Kumon tracers. I think rather that she can't deconstruct a shape into its outline and components well enough to draw it.
