55 books / Nature Walk

I currently have 55 books checked out from the library. Here are Sparkle and Glitter holding the receipts from the library as we walked back to the car.

After dropping off the books, we went for our usual nature walk. We had barely passed the entrance to the gardens when Sparkle announced that she wanted to draw something, so she plopped down and started to draw. Glitter followed suit. Fortunately, the sidewalk was wide enough that the girls didn't block traffic. Sparkle has also taken to writing her own captions for her drawings, so here she is copying the name of the plant from the sign.

On the walk we also saw spider webs, a really large beetle that I should have taken a picture of but didn't, the white fish from last week, large fish in a different pond, and strange droppings from a tree.

  1. Sounds like they get the idea of nature notebooks, huh?!?! Very cool!

  2. Yeah, they like drawing in the park. It's a great bribe for when we're in the library - "Please shut up and keep your shoes on, or mommy won't take you on the nature walk."
